Blessed to Give

I love to give a small part of myself when I give afghans to people who need some encouragement. All the time and work that goes into making an afghan and the prayers and love that are expended while working on the piece of art is truely rewarding when they realize that it is for them. It is always a journey to  choose colors, style, and pattern, but sometimes God intervenes so the afghan gets to the proper person. I think this afghan was one of those.

One of the members of our church was moving and there was not time to make an afghan for her. There was an afghan I had finished as a group project and suggested the crochet group give that one to her. My request was denied but this afghan was donated in its place.

She would find comfort and peace knowing that we would always remember her and continue to pray for her. And that is why it is more blessed to give than to receive.
