Merry Christmas!

The Nativity in Kalamazoo

As we celebrate this precious time of Jesus Christ’s birth, my husband and I thought it would be a good idea to visit a few nativity scenes around the area so the kids would understand visually what we have been reading about for the past month. What a blessing it was for us all! As I look at the Christ child there in the manger, I am overwhelmed by the hope He brings to all, and I want to bow down and worship Him and bring Him gifts  of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, as the wise men did. The kids enjoyed being able to touch Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus, and I think it became more real to them. In their own way, I think they were honoring and worshipping Him too.

We were also able to go Christmas caroling to a few houses in our neighborhood with Anja leading us in “The First Noel, Silent Night, and Hark, the Herald Angels Sing”. Mitchell was even singing too! They were boldly singing and praising God of the good news that Jesus Christ was born! What an incredible blessing that was! Praise the Lord!

May you be blessed as you seek Him this season! Merry Christmas!
