Super Quick Afghans

This is a wedding afghan that was made in a bulky weight yarn with a “Q” hook. It was only one strand at a time, but the change of colors every two rows add a visual interest. The woodsy tones of the reds give delight to the husband as well as the wife. This was finished in approximately 10 hours. Because of the time of this project, I have decided to do afghans only in bulky weight yarns and large hooks. Please comment if you have made that change too.

This baby blanket was done in 3-4 hours with 3 strands of yarn (1 sport, 2 worsted fuzzy) and a “N” hook. This is a quick, simple, basic crochet pattern because all it uses is the V-stitch. It is warm, soft and perfect for baby. If you have never tried this technique, I encourage you. Pick 3-4 colors (or skeins) and a large hook and see how fast you can finish that beautiful baby blanket. God bless and have fun!
