I have entered a contest in which I designed a square of hairpin beaded lace in the center, with a filet crochet border and fpdc emanating like ripples to the simple, yet delicate shell stitch edging.
August was a busy crafting month, with this square being judged in the first week. Since then, I have made a stuffed worm for my neighboor’s little girl, shower gifts, one afghan, and one toddler sized afghan, and continued to work on the piecework afghan for my neighboor. I am in the process of making a baby afghan out of sport weight yarn and 2 strands of fuzzy off-white yarn using a “N” hook. I am also trying to make a knit-crochet doll for my daughter at the same time. Christmas is coming soon so I will need to consider those gifts as well. Busy! Busy! God bless!
