Simple Lace Stitches

simple openwork sistch scarf Crocheted lace is what attracted me to this particular needleart. I love the beautiful delicate, “fragile”, feminine look to lace. In fact, one of my first projects was a 10 inch doily! Lace is ultimately chain stitches and an “anchor” stitch. In this sample scarf, it was a pattern of chain stitches, skipped stitches, and single crochet. These skipped stitches allow for openness in the project and a delicate, dainty finished project. The variegated yarn adds some pizzazz to the already beautiful stitch and allows the scarf to shine!
